JDM H22A injector size
okay, first off, i already search and found 2 different answer on these injector sizes. i just want to reverified them. are they 310cc or 345cc? this is for h22a JDM motors.

Re: JDM H22A injector size
I'm sure this has been documented on this board. Here goes anyways and someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it depends on what year the motor is.
93-96 motors(OBDI up to 96) are 345cc and 97 up Accord R and Prelude are 290cc. the 93-96 motors have to use resitor boxes as they are peak and hold. the 97-up do not, as they are saturated injectors.

okay thanks. just wanted to make sure they are 345cc. and yes the motor is from the 93-96 h22a that uses the resistor box.

Re: JDM H22A injector size
if you want to add injectors you have to have some kind of tuning software.

Yeah, you will have no power gains from "just adding injectors". You should only upgrade injectors, when your performance mods necessitate it, and you have something to tune the bigger injctors.

Re: JDM H22A injector size
I'm having a problem here..
All this while i'm using the lude 345cc injectors on my OBD1 H22. Recently, injector no.4 was broken. And i replaced it temporarily with the one from a CD6 accord H22.
I understand that Lude's is 345cc Peak n Hold, while Accord CD6? are they the same or different?
Prelude H22 - 345cc Peak n Hold
Accord H22 - ???cc Peak n Hold
So, what is the Accord's CD6 injector size?

Re: JDM H22A injector size
Fuel injectors are typically rated at 43.5 psi fuel pressure unless otherwise noted. That being said, "OBD-1" ('93-96 H22A) peak-n-hold injectors are rated at 330cc. The "OBD-2" ('97-01 H22A) saturated injectors are rated at 290cc.

Re: JDM H22A injector size
I am not aware of the injector size being stated anywhere in the factory service manual. I own both a '95 and a '97 Prelude service manual... both are Helms Inc. factory service manuals. I looked in the specifications/service limits and the fuel system/injector sections and found nothing about flow rates. If you know where to find the information within the service manual, please share. I have quoted a size based off of tested data from RC Engineering, TWM and default menus within engine management systems when selecting injector types.
This thread seems to be nit-picking the size by 10-15cc +/- without stating a tested pressure as I did. The pressure matters, because if the operating pressure is lower than that in which the injector was tested/rated at, the flow will be LOWER. Conversely, if you run the injector at a higher pressure than it was tested/rated at, the flow will be HIGHER.
Let's use the 330cc injector at 43 psi as an example. The factory service manual states that the stock fuel pressure regulator has an operational range of between 33 and 40 psi of fuel pressure.
330cc @ 33psi fuel pressure = 287cc
330cc @ 40psi fuel pressure = 316cc
So, this means that the factory service manual is stating that an injector size of roughly 290cc to 315cc would work just fine in a H22A1 engine... assuming the fuel pressure was kept @ 40psi.
Fuel mapping by the stock ECU will be another matter when we consider the differences between peak-and-hold injectors and saturated injectors... in addition to ohm resistance. This is another discussion all together.

Could be totally wrong though.....
