my friend isnt sure whether or not he should get a cold air intake or a short ram intake for his car because he heard that you have to cut some of the body off to fit the cold air inside. Would this decrease the value of the car and which would give more power? Any suggestions for any sort of aftermarket companies would be appreciated

He has a 00 prelude (auto)

Re: Intake and value (Nexus131)
You just have to either take a dremel or hammer to teh side of the hole. No it will not decrease the value of your car.

If someone if gonna be that picky about little details like that, they might as well just go buy a new car. If you do it right there shouldnt be anything to worry about.

Besides, just keep the old intake pipe and resonator, the area you have to modify is covered up by the stock intake anyways. You barely have to bend over and metal to fit the intake.

Re: (Revi-Ra)
I would say keep only the old intake pipe and the air box with the filter in it.
Dispose of the resonator as soon as it comes out you cant see it anyways
