I am a fan of the AEM cold air intakes.

i've seen ads for the dragon weapon r short ram intakes that show dynos for it vs. a buncha other ones and it said it was the best... otherwise on my 95 i have an aem shart ram and on my 94 i have some $40 Ebay no-name that works just as well and i personally like the sound of more.Happy bidding lol!
I got a AEM CAI but I've heard that K&N are better. I know 'cause my friend had one on his turbo gsx and it was definitely I say thicker and it looked more protected vs the under hood heat. And so he said too...lol

stay stock man...either that or order the JDM type-s intake setup...its hella better than AEM or the others because 5th gens whip *** in the lower power band. You will lose power with the AEM but gain it on the top end...The Type-S definitly gets you a stronger read out in the lower power band...I've seen Dynos...I'll try and look for the link, i saw a dyno with stock vs AEM vs JDM intakes...
3" eBay short ram, insulate it, remove the resonator, cut out the metal below the filter to the fender below, and a make some baffles for the filter so it doesn't pull underhood air.
Least amount of money, and the most flow. It's gonna be loud at WOT, no doubt about it, but at anything under half-throttle sounds just like stock.

I REALLY want to see that dyno comparo you refer to!!!! (please find & post it!!)
Anyone else have dynos of TYPE S vs Stock or vs AEM CAI (what I have)?
Does the Type S provide the both of best worlds - more low-end than an AEM & more high-end than stock USDM?
THANKS!

Header or exhaust wrap works well on a budget. You can find intake tube wraps made specifically for the purpose that look a little nicer, they're around $50 if I remember correctly.

stock intake works good on my lude i had aem cold air then cut dat btich in half ,made into a short ram,the aem help at top end, but now i have stock intake back on and i took out the bottom part of the filter so it suck more clean air, cause stock filter works better
AEM CAI or the V2 appear to be the best. AEM is a tried and true application for intakes. Id personally have the V2 because in did want a CAI cuz of weather in WI. But, if i had to choice again, the Type S intake is the best compermise(sp?)
