Default Installing EL gauges.

So i just got a prelude and it came with the digital gauges but not installed. I pull gauges out all day cuase i do alarms and what not everyday. Im use to civics where they just swap out and all the connectors match up. But anyway my old non digital gauges have 2 plugs in them and the srs plug. plugs are on the right and leaft side of the cluster. the new one has ones on right and left as well as on the top and a little box to left with more plugs. now the olugs fit in but there is always one left open and the gauges do not turn on at all. is there some type of re wiring nescessary or do i maybe have bad gauges. let me know guys. This is my first prelude so be easy in me

do a search in the archives and you will find it. However, you should just sell the EL's to me so I can install them in my new project

[b]Electro-luminescent guages

They are completely dark when the car is off and only light up with it on. They came in 94-96 Si and VTEC models.

This info is all in the archives and the FAQ

go to preludepower dot com forum there is a very recent thread about EL gauge swap with all the pictures, circuit diagram and the very detailed instruction to get the gauge works properly, I got it to work properly WITHOUT the wiring harness from a 94-96 prelude (just take 2 hours for me to re-solder all the wires into the new pin arrangement) and I posted all the needed infors on there....
good luck and I love my new EL gauge came from a SRV in Canada...

Tinted or EL gauges aren't going to make you any faster. I'm sorry.

But if they think if looks better then who gives a ****. Not everyone had a hard on for going fast, if he wants to make his car look nice, than that's his deal. The EL gagues are a lot easier to see at night too.
