Default Idle issues, please help!

When my car is fully warmed the idle goes nuts, bouncing from 0-2000 rpms. I'm getting pretty sick of it. I replaced the idle sensor on the intake mani and I still have this problem. My buddy who owns a shop said hes seen similar issues with H22/H23 ludes and he told me the problem was the sensor on the throttle body and that the whole tb needed to be replaced cuz the sensor is riveted on. This seems alittle weird. Turns out I know one of the guys who my "buddy" was talking about and called him. He said my "buddy" was full of **** cuz he took the car somewhere else and had them completely clean out the tb with BG air intake cleaner (designed for TB's and IM) and the car has been fine since....Any ideas??? My can of BG is on the way.

It can definitely be a cause of a dirty TB, but check for vacuum leaks as well, and check if your idle screw is loose.

Also check your coolant level. If the coolant system has a air pocket in it it will cause the idle bounce.

make sure for no vaccum leaks/clogs, I know if the FPR hose is disconnected it causes that exact problem sometimes.

clean out your idle air control valve and the fast air idle valve, theres coolant lines that run threw both valves and sometimes they get block up over time, mine was completely blocked and my car did the same thing,, all you to is take a needle and some throttle body cleaner and pick up the gunk and spray it.. Id also spray the intake manafold and throttle body

Thanks for the help, I will attempt to do this tomorrow...my only problem is i'm not sure which is which. I'm pretty sure the idle air control valve is the one on the intake mani that i just replaced, so that piece is new. I will clean the coolant lines that run in and out of it.
Where is the fast air idle valve?

My car did EXACTLY what you are saying when I drained out all the coolant. The car would idle fine for a few minutes and then when it got to operating temp...the rpms would jump from 750-2000 every two seconds.

As soon as I filled up the radiator....it went away.
