I accidently bought 100W headlights...
Is it safe to use? What are the side-effects? How can I prevent damage without buying an upgrade harness (can I make my own?)

Personally, I'd worry more about what placing nearly twice the heat of the 55 watt stock bulbs inside a plastic box will do, than what running some extra current through the dash and wires will.
