how to install a header
Step 1: Take the stock header out
Step 2: Put the new Jd/\/\ DC header y0 in
Step 3: Slap your self for asking such a stupid question
Are you serious when asking this? What do you expect someone to tell you? You obviously just take out the old one and put the new one back in its place, its just loosening and tightening bolts. How long it will take depends on your mechanical skills, and judging by your question, i give you about a month...

ewww. why are you so mean? i was just asking how long it would take and how to do it. sorry im new i wasnt sure how to do it. it doesnt come with instructions but thanks for yelling at me. dick.
alright cool thanks yeah im sure that guy knew everything about cars when he first started.
yeah and my friend told me i might have to do something with an o2 sensor. i have no idea what that is and i was just wondering if i had to do anything with that while changing the header out.

Dont worry, If your Handle was like CutiePie87 ... half these guys would bust their *** to help you out. Regardless, get your hands on a helms for the lude. Other then that just search first next time.
just make sure to replace the o2 sensor from the old header.. if you had an older vehicle you could probbaly look at replacing it all together. be warned, some o2 sensors are a bastard to get out.

Some advise, Remove the heat shield covering the stock header, then get a can of liquid wrench and spray the bolts and nuts that attach the header to the block. You don't want to break a bolt off inside the block. Just spray every bolt from the block back to the cat convertor. Do this before you go to bed and let it sit all night. Do this every night until you are ready to remove the header. This will make the job go much easier. I just replaced my header on my 5th Gen. If you spray the O2 sensor with liquid wrench you should be able to remove it. It is much easier to unclip the O2 sensor and remove it from the collector after the bottom portion of the header is removed.

Goddamn...his handle is "vtec h22", not "vtech 22". The second one doesn't make any sense anyway.

used a crecent wrench on mine. Id suggest pulling the O2 out before you dropped the header. Wont have to worry about holding the header down in this case. its really straight foward. Remove all the bolts holding it to the head, remove the 2 large 16mm nuts holding the two peices together, then the last 2 before the cat. ( good luck on those )

There are also O2 sockets for rachets. I borrowed one and it helped make the job way way easier.

oh yeah and also, i put them in already by the way, and i was wondering if a burnt smell is normal, maybe because the headers are hot? im not sure.
ooo ya, i just put mine on today, the second piece is a pain in the ***, u hella gotta bend the flexpipe and the cat, to get that on. and the hanger bolts on the second piece, is hard to get over the bolts, and towards the first piece. and yes, liquid wrench works miracles.
