wow. ill step up to that plate and tell you to search, but in all seriously. the number one thing that someone will learn in shop class is that modifying your car will shorten the life of your motor. the OEM specs are set up so that you have the greatest engine life, but not necessarely the most horsepower or best gas milage.
the mods that EVERYONE does are intake, header, and exhaust. all of those mods are just bolt on and will give you moderate power increases. if your looking for something else, then you need to decide what your main goal is with your car.
