Default Si engine

Hello, i just got a 94 Prelude Si (finally after searching for 6 months!) and i was wondering what the most efficent thing to do to the engine would be in reguards to a cost and hp gain. I know it isnt goin out and spending hundreds on bolt ons such as headers and intake (at least im pretty sure that wouldnt be the BEST way to spend my money). I am not planning on modifying the engine quite yet anyways so i have plenty of time to think. Help me out please

Bolt-ons are your best bet. Or, you can put your car on a diet and just gut it out which will make your car a little bit faster.

The most bang for buck is nitrous. Nobody can argue that point. Now as far as enjoyment for buck goes I'd get suspension before anything else. I'd pick up an AEM cai, a nice cat back exhaust, and suspension. Then decide if you want turbo, SC, NA, nitrous, or a combination of nitrous and the first three.

One thing:

If you KNOW your going to go Turbo, don't waste money on an intake, header, or even an exhaust. Obviosly it's not going to be used with the turbo kit.

I personally would get the thing running 100% before I started modding it, you should think about that...

Gude, is your car red??? I think i have a friend that lives in your neighborhood in N.Chas. I was with my friend Ben, and Chris Bull last week and when Chris found out i just bought a 94 prelude told me he knew the guy that owned the red one that lived behind the Honda dealership. Anyways, just wondering if that was you. Also, about the turbo...i am interested in putting a turbo on my car but i really dont know much about engines. What would i need to get to make a turbo run correctly in my car and about how much would the total cost be (instal, turbo kit, etc.)???

It's going to be over $3000. The Turbo kit along with an intercooler will get close to $3000.

Depending on if you want to install it vs. having someone else install it, that's going to effect price.
