Coolest way I have seen yet, use the kingpin bushings from a skateboard, and longer bolts!

just a warning, remember to adjust your hood latch with your bumper off, i work in a body shop and sometimes when we either adjust a hood/trunk or replace one, the latch wont allign up correctly and can badly jam the striker and latch causing you to manually release the latch with a pry-bar and if your bumper covers your latch this causes a serious problem. just my 2 cents

Wow...hardware stores sell bolts man. Take your bolt up there and find one the same size but longer. Why do you want to do this anyway? For looks?

It wont release enough heat to make any power. All you are doing is putting your hood on crooked. Mabey it will be as cool as the backwards hat was.

It doesn't release any more heat. I tested this with an accurate Defi temp gauge and made no difference on engine temp in the Texas summer heat...same with or without the 'lifted' hood.

No, I didn't spend a whole lot of time on it, but I used to have my hood like that and, long story short; I was at a painting clients' house and he said he used to work on a racing team and that the 'JDM hood tilt' haha was pointless for the most part.

So I remembered my engine temps in the heat of that summer in traffic and while cruising, and then put the hood back to stock. Sure enough the temps did not seem to change at all.

Though I might add I have never had the rubber trim around the bottom of the hood installed, so that could have been doing the job of the hood tilt in the first place.

I have my hood like that, I found an extra long bolt and then plastic spacers from home depot, worked great.

Pretty much is just for looks.

This may be a bit off-topic, but I HONESTY did see some kid around here with a 1G Miata with his f'ing hood lifted about 8 INCHES in the back. Seriously...it came up into his windshield and you could see the engine and everything. Almost started to make me angry
