doesn't anyone know about Nextgear thermoshield gaskets? i bought one for my H22 and they make them for the H23 as well (according to their website at least)
http://www.nextgearinc.com/
they said theirs are a little thicker than the hondata one and material is a lil different too. so far mine has held up great.

Thanks, man. Never heard of them before, but I placed an order for an H23 gasket, so I'll let ya'll know what happens...

EDIT--now I don't have to randomly buy plastic sheets from McMaster and see what works...

Yup, had to use Paypal.

I'll post some pics of it when I get it, but don't cross your fingers for a dyno ...I'll give it the 'Oh **** I burnt my hand' test, though....

Pfffff...I placed the order on Sept. 7th and waited until the 27th with no responses, no gasket, no nothing (except a $65 charge on my paypal )

Then I e-mailed them and told them the story and got his response--

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by nextgear2@comcast.net &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

I am getting right on it, to see what the problem is. Sign Ron C. one of the owners. Please await my feedback, and thanks for your pateince.--------------
</TD></TR></TABLE>

So no pics yet, and my first impression so far is that they sit around all day and fondle eachother...Oh, and I sent the same e-mail to 4 different people...

First thing I'll do when I get it is let you guys know

serious, poor lack of aftermarket anything for h23's. No one really goes all motor or anything with them, just boost or swap. Im sorry all you h23 owners out there. My hopes and prayers are with you for aftermarket support

do any of you know if anyone makes a special gasket that funnels air int the block, thus increasing velocity. A friend has it on his crazy civic and absolutely loves it. I really want to get one but can not find if they are made for the h22. Thanx

Based on this "logic" the smaller the IM, the faster the flow, so the more power to be had. No, increasing velocity lowers pressure, not what you want in an intake manifold...

I just saw this post. I do not get on h-t much anymore since I do not have one now. I spoke to the sales person that you spoke to from my company and he said that he tried to send you your money back but you refused it. We have just opened up a retail store and production had shut down for around a month. We are now actively working on the engineering of the h23 gasket now. I appoligize for the inconvenience. If you need any help please contact me.
Thanks

Wow, thanks for the reply. I talked to Brandon a few weeks ago and he told me the story and said he'd get it to me as soon as he could, so everything's cool.

You guys are the only ones who make an H23 gasket, so I would rather wait than not have one, plus me ordering it will broaden your selection and make it available for others.
