help with rear clunk...
I'm getting _extremely_ frustrated now.
Riding on GR-2 w/ Nuespeed race.
I get a loud (but not metallic) "clunk" "thuddy" sound when going over potholes and such, like the damper isn't damping but it sounds like the stiff springs are just pushing the damper down into the holes. Over slightly uneven roads, it's alright. Just on potholes and other holes in the road.
The front rides beautifully, it's just the rears.
I've already replaced with OEM:
-Strut hat bushings
-Lower Arm bushings
-Shock collar w/ recall ones.
I really can't pinpoint anything else that could be wrong.
I know these dampers can't handle the stiff springs, but I'd like to know if I can eliminate this noise short of going for better dampers (no $$ at the moment).
Maybe my dampers are shot? Or is this just a normal noise on a shitty setup like this?
