YO WTF (please help)
sorry too seem so vulger, but its that I'm upset. I got this freaking creaking noise coming from the rear hatch area that doesn't want to go away. The creaking seems to be more frequent when there is moisture. For example like today its snowing and the noise is unbearable. Has anyone else experienced this in their teg? It sounds like its coming from the panels, but everything seems to be tight. Ths I have 1 blown rear strut, but it doesn't seem like its coming from there. I'm also riding on Eibach springs that are made for 92-95 civic.
I hear it occasionally too. I think it does have something to do with the suspension, but I'm not sure. Anyone else?
I hear it all the time too. After a while it seems to go away. If it doesent just turn the music up real loud!!!
P.S. how much ya want for the 94-97 integra headlights? In good condition?

more than likely it has something to do with the temperature than with the humidity level (although both of them together might make it more noticable).
when rubber is cold it becomes hard, and when your suspension moves it tries to move the rubber, which doesn't want to move since it is cold and hard, it will make noise as a result. there is nothing you can do.
you can put urethane bushings in and make the noise louder, but your suspension will be tighter!

bottom line is that it is normal opperation and you can just turn up your radio and the noise goes away.

silicone or white lithium grease on the bushings might help. i applied white lithium on misc. suspension bushings about 1-2 years ago.. and it's all still there. so far no noise and no problems
by the way, just curious, what kind of springs do you have? some springs like H&R sports have dead coils at the top and they can rub against each other and create this creaking sound. For that, you might want to get some rubber isolators from a 2nd gen integra

Me too...my Comptech rear sway and urethane bushings started to make that creaking noise and white lithium stopped it dead in its tracks. And yes...it drove me batsh*t too!
n overlooked idea is the hatch latch- wrap some electrical tape over it and white lithium it up- and the hinge of the hatch.
Also, have someone bounce the back of your car when you sit in it- like a strut test.
And take off the rear wheels and look for shiny metal or anything that is "clean" that should be dirty under there. (where something could be rubbing)
Just some ideas.

White lithium grease sounds like a pain in the ***, do you have to take out all your bushings for that? Make sure nothing w/in your suspension assembly is over torqued. I spray WD-40 on my bushings every few months and it keeps the squeaks away w/ Prokit/AGX on a 97GSR
try adjusting the rubber ***** located on the outer edge of the hatch. Twist them so they extend outward more. This will create more pressure on the hatch and minimize movement (squeak). Hope this helps.
Good Luck!

i got the same damn problem, it only happens off and on with no real pattern as far as tempature....annoying as hell....i've checked all the panels, sprayed silicone spray on all rubber bushings and stiff can't figure it out....
