Help, Problem with Tps!

So I finally had some time to diagnose my stupid tps problem that I've had for awhile. The problem is that frequently when I'm driving the tps light will go on, I constantly check the tps and the voltage at idle is dead on .5V and WOT 4.5V. Today I checked the connectivity and resistance of all the tps wires and they're fine. So then I played around with the gas pedal while I checked the voltage. It would bounce up to 4.5v like it's suppose to but after a couple times it would go up to .55V for idle, then to .6V, and .6v, like something inside the tps was broken. I think this is what's causing my tps problem, because I only have the problem at idle, the car will jerk when I'm in gear but giving it no gas, and at idle sometimes it will idle quite high. So would getting a new TPS likely fix the problem or does someone think the problem lies elsewhere? Any beneficial help is welcomed.

it sounds like the tps failed to me. if you can use one from a buddies car and see if that helps before you by one

when i had tps issue. I took it off and foudn the spring inside rests on a plastic piece. That could be worn, or even worse broken.
