i got a 94 prelude si. its has a very rough idle and completly shuts off on low rpm...i have to turn the key and hold it an i hear the motor slowly bulidin up till it can sustain itslef but slowly looses rpm the shuts off again...i have changes spark plugs, spark plug wires, gas filter, and tps sensor....HHHEEELLLLLPPP!!!! PLEASE

first order of business here is to do a compression test.

 

kinda sounds like mine,....

check for spark...very important...take a plug and ground them to see if you have sparks from every cylinder....if you do...move on to fuel...if ur plugs are fouled out and wet...then u got fuel and fuel injectors are okay...

do compression test like <U>mgags7</U> said...if you have all good compression...then last thing is timing.....u know the ordeal w/ timing...must be dead-on...1 tooth off and will do that....

so check those 1st....

How do you test your compression, i'm thinking it has to do with the vacume hoses, but what else and where do you connect? And how do you figure out the xx:x:xx ratio?
