Help - head replacement?
Tonight after a few runs I noticed a weird griding noise coming from the valves/intake monfld. It only comes up around 2700-2900 rpm (only then) and regardless of gear/neutral, clutch or not. I also noticed that my pilot bearing on my clutch is goind really bad. When clutch is released regardless if in gear or not it throws this other noise.
On the engine would anybody know what it could possibly be? Maybe a bent valve? the car runs perfect and don't even stall or idle bad.
On clutch would it be just the bearings? it's really stiff when shifting even after a fluid change
thanks

Sounds like you may possibly have a failing timing belt autotensioner. Mine sounded the same when it went out and it was roughly at the same RPM level you described.
tensioner? the noise comes from the top of the motor, around intake mnfld... if it was the tensioner wouldnt it be around the cams or pulleys?
thanks
thanks
