Too much spark huh? Thats a first on me. I dont know much about 83 preludes, but im guessing it is a carbed engine. If it wont start and youre positive it is getting spark (even if it is "too much"
) then you should look at your fuel supply first, and then check and make sure the timing is correct.
Post up some more specific details and why you think its getting too much spark. Post up some pics of that 83 lude too
