Okay guys, I have a 2001 prelude.
Problem; when i pushed the clutch in the motor would die. I figured it to be the clutch bearings were loose. I Replaced the Clutch, Throwout Bearing and Pressure plate. Had the flywheel resurfaced and put it all back together. Now, It is doing the same exact thing...I am at a loss
When you push the clutch barely you can here a slight ticking noise come from the rear of the engine compartment. I have isolated the ticking to around the Intake/rear of the head.
The slave does have pressure, when the clutch is pressed it does apply pressure the the pressure plate.
Anyone have any ideas??

start the car with the clutch in and never let it out.....put it into gears and see if the rpm goes anywhere.....if so, then the clutch is the problem....
is the ticking noise constant or just when you are depressing the pedal? is it one tick or a series of ticks? are they in with engine rpm or random?

When you start the car you have to let out of the clutch and give it a bit of gas real fast. Or it won't start. It Idles at 15k when cold and drops below 500 when it warms up..
I think the ticking is normal and it happens when you Push the clutch in barely (right before it dies). I am thinking clutch interlock switch...But, I dunno how to check it....Could it be the idle control valve??
The car is also sputtering when at high idle...and blows black smoke....Maybe a timing related sensor?? Where would you start??
