hello all...i'm the proud new papa of a 92 SI. just got her about 2 weeks ago. she's slammed, full cat-back, intake (headers, head work next), and has a nice custom paint (hence the screenname!). i'll get some pics up soon. been watching the board for about a week now...everyone in here seems knowledgable, nice, etc. i had a nissan before...it's nice to cross over to the h/a side (well, i work at an acura dealership anyways, so it wasn't that much of a switch)...just wanted to say hi.

thanks for the welcome. i'm still on a big learning curve - but look at it this way - first week i had the car, the head was apart getting new valves. once i replace the rear struts, i'm gonna get to work under the hood and saving up for a nice set of rims (anyone got some for sale cheap?). thanks again

well here's the thing. my friend, who works in a shop got his altima stolen. so he went to auction one day and this lude comes up. $4g's later, he goes home..."honey...guess what i bought today". there was hardly any damage. he needed all of one quarter (hit), rear and front glass, and 2 front seats. he did that, babied the engine back to life, and shot it with his own custom paint. the whole time i was watching this creation come to life thinking "damn...". before i knew it, he put on a full cat back, intake, and slammed it on coilovers. now i'm thinking "DAMN...". well one day i was down there working on my car and the topic of trade came up...i thought he was joking, but he was serious...so i got the title to mine, swapped with him, and here i am. so it was already in the process of being built when i took it over, but i have more in store (not until later this summer though...my current rent is through the roof! gotta wait till i get out and save some $$.
