Default Headlight Question

I just got my JDM headlights and installed them. I was under the inpression that the outside lamps were both high and low beams and the middle were Running/fog lights. Can someone confirm this. And if so how do I go about wiring that. I have the middle lamps hooked up as my bright right now is this correct? I dont remember where i read that but for some reason thats what i was thinking. thanks for the help.

I'm not sure what you change out to put the JDM's in. But I know that mine 92Si both the inside and outside are on when I have my high-beams on. I know that most cars if you want this you have to change out a module or whatever you call it.

My JDM's are the same way, I think you can re-wire them to work that way, because i've seen them with yellow fogs in the inside, and high/low beams on the outside, but not exactly sure how to go about it

Yeah that is pretty much correct. But its really weird after I took my car to do insepctions they said I had to replace to bulbs because my Sylvania bulbs from Wal-Mart were a little blue. Anyways there was a line so he let me slide, I think because he didn't know how to replace them LOL. Then I got some silver stars after which are DOT approved and noticed when I turn on my high beams the center lights come on. Now I didn't wire those lights when I put in the headlights, is it possible that the mechanics did, b/c my car was sitting in there for a good hour to an hour and a half in the shop. Any ways its tight because my high beams are so bright good for those back roads, but does anyone know what type of bulb that is, I thought it was H1's but I need some back up on that claim.

h22mark so your saying that when you hit the high beams your outsides go to hi beam and the middle turn on. See the normal low beams are H4 bulbs which are capable of both high and low beams. And the center lights are H1 bulbs which is just one setting.

Yeah thats what happened before the outer lights would go brighter for the high beams. But now the center lights are turned on for high beams, its really weird because I always hear those are daytime driving lights. Could some explain this?

do you remember how you had them wired up. IT seems that you would need some type of relay or somthing to turn power off to the low beam wire and put power to high beams. Anyone have theres wired up this way?

Maybe i possibly wired it but i really don't remember, i could check again on it. I am really puzzled on this, but it does brighten the road like a mother f%#ker. Prolly just upgrade those to silverstars too.

Well I'll try to get you some pics, don't have a digicam but I'll ****** my friends and get some pics of what I mean. There should be a screw for aiming them if i'm correct, USDM has a screw to aim, but I think the JDM's should have one too, let me check again.

Well I have them aimed correct but the middle lights arnt supposed to be "Brights" I dont think. Because H4 bulbs have 2 filaments. low and high beams. They have 2 little like ***** you have to turn to aim them.

yea thats how mine are but see the outside should also come on when the brights are turned on and the middle lights should be on a switch. Thats what im trying to find out where to get a relay i think that would make it all work.
