LOL I love when people recommend these headers without even knowing what goals the OP has.
The "best" isn't always the best option for all applications.

what is your purpose for getting a header? did someone tell you to get it? do you want a moderate HP increase? do you want a good HP increase and are willing to get a $700 custom job? are you going to turbo the car? does your car have any modifications besides lights or suspension? There's no reason for another post without these questions being answered.
as far as material, SS changes color (called toning) and i've heard ceramic cracks eventually.

well not to start beef, but the op posted a half *** question so he got a half assed answer. can't give a guy an elaborate answer if he doesn't want to elaborate himself. and who doesn't have the "most power" or "most bang per buck" goal? i think he got the right answer given what little we know regarding his intended use

I created a second account cause I couldn't reply to the thread I started, cause of the trial period. I'm not looking for 900 HP,I just want a little extra HP. My yard motor has around 130k on it and I'm starting to have blowby which tells me my rings are starting to go and don't plan on breaking my axles just yet,so I won't be adding a too many Mods untill I replace the engine. This car will be in my garage when I'm old and decrepit,so I plan on doing as much as I can without putting a roll cage in it. One day Ludes will be collector items,so I want to be able to gut the mods one day and put it back to factory and throw it in a garage. How much should I spend on one?
Yeah, little confused b/c you said you're not building a 900HP monster, but want to do as much as you can w/o a rollcage, which indicates quite a bit. To address your original post, there are better mods for the 'lude for your $ than a header when you're just starting the build. There are LOTS of threads about a new header; almost all of them will lead to the conclusion that unless you're spending ~$1k on a well built piece, you're wasting your money and might even be losing hp.
Eventually I hope to have at least 500 HP,but it's gonna be awhile before I get to that point,ti won't be the engine that's in there now. Thanks for all the info! I think I found my brand after doing a little research.

That's why we offer 4 different stages of headers for the H series.

Okay, so now you're talking about a boosted build. Is the header in question for your current motor or the boosted one? Hytech makes turbo manifolds (don't know about H22 ones, though); don't know about SMSP.
