Default header help

i was wondering what i needed to look for when i go to purchase a new header like do i need to search for a 4th gen prelude header or do i go by my engine code? also materials like flanges and t-304 stainless steel or other kinds? any help would be much appreciated

It doesn't really matter as long as everything is present and accounted for.

That said you can interpret the kind of header by the number of component parts...The 3 piece headers are all pretty good I believe, many of the 2 piece ones aren't (some are, however). 4 piece ones tend to be the best 0_o

Pretty much all SS headers are made from the same type of SS, especially any of the junk you might purchase from ebay.

2piece header = has two pieces. Primaries = 1 piece, Secondaries + Collector = 1 piece
3piece header = has three pieces. Primaries = 1 piece, Secondaries = 1 piece, Collector = 1 piece

The # of pieces doesn't really matter like Blue said. As long as you have them all, you're set. The important # is the size of the pipes.

SUS is a prefix used in Japan. Not sure what T is. The materials are the same, however (304 is the alloy number for a specific chemical composition).

FYI, that question is a perfect example of why people should use Google.
