i just replaced a headgasket, had the valves adjusted. Car ran fine for like a week, now whenthe engine is hot, i would accelerate but it wouldn't go. rpm would slowly increase as if I'm towing something heavy. clutch is not slipping and no problems with idling. Help is appreciated, thanks

 

Is it running on all four? I would check your compression then go from there.

 

Can you swap the MAP sensor with one from another Honda to see if helps any? Have you checked the timing (belt & distributor) ?

 

I had the same problem with mine yesterday. Then I turned around and got on it and it went fine. I would check spark plugs and cables. Compression. Etc etc.. Im doing a compression test on my lude this weekend.

 

sounds like the infamous h22 lag/drag. happens to mine occasionally, but just changed the fuel filter and had a valve adjustment and seemed to help a lil bit. good luck, does it happen @ ~3k rpms?

 

compression is about 160-180 all across. Pretty much at all rpms

 

No codes? As mention by slomofo, check ignition system, also fuel system...
