hack & puttering
Hello all,
I just finished the turbo install as most of you know with the vafc hack. As I gas it it putters lightly and goes away at higher RPM's, and I can't figure out why... As far as I know, there's no smoke, and I checked my spark plugs and the cylinders seem to firing correctly. Can anyone think of anything else this could be?

Well, I drove it some more tonight, and to be more specific, it doesn't putter at idle, but as I give it medium to hard throttle, it begins to putter.
It reminds me of when one of my spark plugs weren't firing correctly, it was puttering similarly, (running on 3 cylinders) however I checked all four plugs and they all seem to be firing correctly.
Here are some ideas I've been thinking of: O2 sensor, fuel injectors, distributor cap, vafc wiring, vafc sensor settings, exhaust manifold gas leak (would this cause puttering?)
Can anyone please give me some insight on this?

Ha.
No kidding. Hook it up to A/F. Tune it. have someone do it. You'll save so more than money in the end.

Yes Im getting it tuned, but I dont think it's why Im puttering. I remember driving with my stock manifold loosened before my turbo was installed, and I remember puttering the same way, so i thought it was a exhaust leak at the manifold. Do you guys think it could be a exhaust leak? Those manifold and turbo bolts are a PAIN IN THE ***.
SO...I reinstalled my turbo and copper gasket sprayed everything, and that goddamn puttering is STILL there.
Is there some shop I can take it to have them figure it out or does anyone have any ideas on what I can do? This is pissing me off

I've leaned it from -30 to -40%, and the puttering is always there, regardless of my fuel settings. Turbolude92, where is ur leak, where the manifold bolts up to the head or manifold to turbo? I'll get it tuned tomorrow or the next day, ill let you know how it goes. Other suggestions are appreciated
