H23 tranny ?
ok here is the problem
I have a h23a1 tranny and motor. I was driving on the highway and went to shift and my clutch pedal would not come back up. it would not shift into any gear with the car off or on. About a week later i had a friend look at my car. I was able to shift into all the gears just fine with the car off. I put the car into first and started the cra and got the car to roll foward; but not go into any other gear. I have been told its the slave/master cylinder, the clutch, the tranny, or a hydralic problem. I also before this all happened had a slight grind in second gear. So i bought a JDM F22b1 tranny (JDM h23). SO i planned on just swapping the trannys and being done with it. But i was told today that the tranny does not include the hydro system. So if it is a hydro problem what should i do. I have already bought the tranny on ebay.

Re: H23 tranny ? (95whiteludesi)
the same thing happened to me with my H23, and it was the slave cylinder in the hydro system. so my advice would be to have the hydro system checked before you spend all that money to replace the tranny just to find out that it was infact the hydro system. if it turns out that it is you can always sell the transmission on ebay again. and if it is the tranny then you can just swap in the new one. so play it safe and check the simple things first before going right into a swap without being fully sure that your problem will be solved.

Re: H23 tranny ? (tipmn98)
thanx for your help. Well another reason why i went ahead and bought another tranny is because the tranny grinds in 2nd gear. SO if i wanted to just swap in the other tranny i bought i will have everythin i need to swap it? Does the tranny i bought include everything in the hydro system so i wont have to swap over the hydro parts correct?
