Default h23 problem!!!!!

my friend has a 96 lude he was driving and abs and oil light came on so he stopped at a gas station about a mile down the road put a quart of oil in it drove about 1/4 mile to a stop light and the car died he got it towed to a mechanic the mechanic told him there was sludge built up wants to replace the motor he has another lude with a mint motor just a crashed up front so he called me to put the good motor in the good car when he told me the motor had sludge i said lets see what we can do about that to fix it so i dropped the oil pan and it looked pretty clean i told him we will pull valve cover off and look howmuch sludge there but the oil pan looked pretty clean so i dont think the valve cover will have alot now my question is if it is sludge what can i do to get it to run the crank moves when he goes to start it the starter cranks and the crank moves but no igniton he has spark i havent checked if hes gettin fuel but not sure i know you can run diesel in the motor for a few seocnds then change oil i figure if worse comes to worse we still got a good motor to put in but id rather not put it in

but what can i do about the so called sludge the crank moves easily all the rods are in fine no metal shavings in oil but no ignition what could this be

Mine was leaking oil alot worse than I thought. My dad took my car to the shop to get timing belt, water pump, etc. fixed and he ended up having to put FOUR QUARTS of oil in it (mind you I had changed the oil in it about a month ago, and have continuously added oil since) turns out it was leaking from my cam seals, oil pan gasket and my oil cooler was spewing it out everywhere causing the sludge under the car. That's why there were no puddles or anything under it.
Just something that happened to me that could also have been the case here.

just to answer this:

you will get a better reply from knowledgeable people if you type so we can read it. paragraphs, periods, comma's....etc.

I dunno about other people, but when i see one long *** paragraph with not much punctuation, i dont take the time to read something im going to have a hard time reading.

It's a shame more people couldn't type like they are educated, more would get accomplished.

i guess its a shame more ppl cant read like there educated and can not fill in periods or understand a paragraph.

when you type on a laptop and you normally type on a regular keyboard to hit the period is too time consuming for me i button smash all the keys to begin with on the laptop so there for i dont look for puncation

dude. look it sounds like the timing belt went. pull the valve cover, you will probably see no belt.

and if that doesn't work, you can try your "i know you can run diesel in the motor for a few seconds then change oil" idea.

oh, and

After spending about 5 minutes deciphering your original post, I decided to help you out. But after I read this part, I don't know if I want to help you out anymore.

BTW, it's probably just your muffler bearings that need replacing. And don't forget to top off your blinker fluids too.

LOL. I read about the first line and got tired of it. I continued on to other people's posts of criticism about your writing style and found it easier to read those. I don't even know what the symptoms of your engine are, but I got more entertainment from the total lack of punctuation sans spacing.

It's just ironic.

Your wiritng is very "Beat," from the Beat Generation circa late fifties:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beat_generation

Kerouac was one of the figurheads and he wrote a popular book you might have read:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/On_the_Road

"Kerouac revised the novel several times before Malcolm Cowley of Viking Press agreed to publish it."

Lot's of beat literature is sometimes hard to read as it was written by a bunch of disallusioned Cold War crackheads hopped up on benzadrine and opium in the form of stream of consciousness. But even when they were "pushing the limits" of accepted literature it took Kerouac many revisions and some punctuation to get it published. I mean it was written on a roll of onion paper. I bet it's hard to print a manuscript on a roll of toilet paper.

Not all of us are dark, introspective literary buffs that are interested in neo-beat internet literature. I for one am not high enough to find an interest in your post as it is. Sorry the "Facist Establisment" and the "Man" are still a load of "squares" but they're a necessary evil.

If you ever learned some writing skills then you should be proud to exercise them.

lol. Good luck with your engine.
