H23 Performance ignition?
Hi, long time lurker, first time poster. I like the site but I couldn't find anything after searching...so I figured I'd post a new topic.
I've got a distributor that is leaking internally on my '93 Si w/Ext. coil.
Since it's internal to the housing (I think the bearing) that is leaking, I have to replace the whole assembly unless I wanted to repack it into a new housing.
I found that Moroso makes a replacement distributor, but because of the external coil that model comes with an OEM cap and rotor instead of their brass connection ones. Because of the better bearings/seals/internals I would like to go with this unit, but if I'm going to go that far I would like to get better connections on the cap and rotor as well.
So basically, does anyone offer a better than OEM cap/rotor combo for the H23 distributor w/Ext. coil? I know I would be fine with the OEM ones on there...but it seems kinda cheezy putting money into a beefed up unit to have stock cap/rotor on it...wouldn't you think?
Thanks in advance...I know there has to be people on here running ext. coil systems...so let me know what my options are!
I'm losing close to a quart of oil per 500 miles through the housing and cap seal as it pools up in the bottom of the cap...so advice would be appreciated.
