Default H23 with issues

New here got a couple questions. I have a 1992 Si H23 Prelude. It has CEL on right now. I have checked for codes. The codes that came up are

43 (Fuel Supply System, and 23 (Knock Sensor).

When the car is started before warmed it runs really good. Excellerates fine. Once the engine light comes on the car gets a lil sluggish but yet very driveable still. You can smell a hint of gas in the air also.

Other than Power Steering and Oil being all over the engine bay the car runs pretty good considering it has over 200,000 miles on it. It has been rebuilt though.

Oh also the car has a injen intake which I heard trips codes also. Could that be the fault of code 43 (fuel supply)?

We are gonna do a tune up and get that knock sensor but your guys input is appreciated. I'm trying to convince the owner to do a H22 but hopefully soon.

that's probably because once your cel comes on, it's causing the car to
run rich because it's in limp mode

i don't see how the intake would trip codes, does the injen intake
have something special about it compared to your joe schmoe intake?

OH **** so it goes rich once the light comes on. Its in limp mode. Thats bad right. Is because of the codes or could it be something else?

Well the intake I think its hooked up the same as the oem intake. But I just have heard some peoples intakes tripping codes. I dunno. Anybody else have this problem or does this car just have some stuff I need to fix and then see.

Well hopefully I wont be a trial member so I can post this in the for sell section. Been way past 20+days

The BAD
The title is salvaged
Engine light is on code check says knock sensor which we have, just havent installed
200,000+miles

The GOOD
Injen Intake
Paint is Solar Yellow from newer model MR2. Original color was white
Body is in decent shape with very few dings not noticable.
Sunroof
Power everything
Perfect for H22 swap
Passed smog last month

This car is my gir'ls car 1992 Si 4ws. It has a 5spd, with H23 non vtec engine. She is willing to entertaine trades for a small pick-pick up. I tried to get her to swap in the H22 but she really wants a truck. If not this car can be had for the price of $2500

it could be your thermostat isnt working right. its probably reading your car is overheating and richinging up the mixture. either that or your catalytic converter could be fried and the second o2 sensor is reading the car is running to lean
