im rebuilding my engine. its a 1999 H22A7 ( UK Accord Type R )

i need to know the clearances for oil and also crank sizes etc. rod housing sizes, bearing sizes.

i could do with as much info on the block ( bottom end ) as possible to make sure its all in tolerance.

My engine is the same as the prelude H22A1.

I think im going to order Toga bearing combo ( Main & Rod ) but I was told that the H22A has colour coded bearings etc. and I would need to check to make sure I don’t need over size.

Any help please !

 

can you not purchase a shop manual for the car? it has all this info and more...

I would tell you the info from my Helms manual but I have the 95 H22a1 manual and you are incorrect that an H22A7 is the same as an A1...it like a 98+ H22A4 as both motors have larger crank mains (55mm vs. 50mm) than the H22A1, they are also Open deck etc.

For block info you want to be looking at an H22A4
