H22 Header

What are you expecting out of the header?? All the power up top or throughout the RPM band?? That's actually what I would like to know.

AN-R is really good, too. Huge equal length primaries, 4-1 design, optimized for higher powerband operation, 2.5" collector and better ground clearance. Either get a street or merge collector, but for your case the merge would be a lot better. A buddy put one of these, but b-series, on his race car and loves em. Each header is hand made from what I understand, costs bout half as much as smsp and I've seen dyno's of b and h series engines making nearly 20hp from these headers alone. Not much more than greddy, either. For a 2-3 times power gain over the greddy, makes sense to save an extra buck fifty and get an-r. Btw, I have no affiliation with an-r, just good word-of-mouth to pass around.
$530 for street version... only good for h22 EG civics and accords with H22 swap... will not clear a/c condenser.

kamikaze perhaps, since it's cheap than those other ones. but i hear it's more optimal on SC setups.
which never made sense to me because SC increases linear pull. with my past setup i ran stock header with my SC for the best back pressure.

from what ive seen the kamikazi is a horrid header for all motor ...the primaries ar onmy like 12 inches long (too short for all motor )
they are deffinitly a SC header...and the an-r can fit the lude..just have to tell them when ordering....

i think merge collector is a side exit , and the other one just goes under the car to be attached to the rest of the exhaust. AN-R stated on their site that it would fit preludes, and wond clear the a/c condensor
no the "merge" collector is where the 4 pipes turn into 1 it transitions smoothly into the down pipe. You cannot see this from the outside of the header. It's on the inside of the 4-1 area. Since the header is handmade it takes alot more time to blend the area smoothly. The street collector, the pipes are just cut at angles then welded into the down pipe.
The merge collector offers better scavenging effects over the street collector, so should be good for a few whp gain.

Then you had some unrealized, potential power. A better flowing header would have made more power. Backpressure is not good for any boosted setup. Backpressure occurs when there is a restriction, and that hurts power.

Im curious to know which is better too, they are both in the same price range adn both look dope

I've had a bad experience with AN-R's header for the H22 powered Civic. They have fitment issues. Their header does not fit properly and will require modification. I had to chop off the curve that goes beneath the oil pan, simply because there was no way it was going to fit. The curved pipe ran right into the oil pan!
Long story.............but in the end, AN-R refused to offer any help. According to them, their headers are custom made an that some of them do not come out right the first time. This information was NEVER posted on AN-R.com's website. I got screwed, hope you don't too.
AN-R headers =
Good luck with whatever header you choose.

They are similar to the AN-R ones, but if you put them side by side, they bend a little differently.

The ImagineEngineering header does not LOOK that great. That's if you care about looks. I honestly don't think there is really one great header out there for the H22 Civic. You should check into the SMSP header, but I read that header is spendy $$$.
If only AN-R had better customer service, then I would've recommended them to you.
Otherwise, if you are curious, I will try to take a pic of my Civic w/the AN-R header installed.

ah, their site is back up. i was just wondering what had happened to prospeed in general.
i just shot them an email about their header and fitment, and maybe at some point they'll have a dyno.
