H22 head comparison 92-97 to 98-01
Which head is better to build for racing, I have heard a on going debate that the hydrolic LMA assembly 92-96 head is better then the spring LMA (like the type R) 98-01 and vice versa.
I know this is mainly due to high lift cams being a benefit but what other advantages/disadvantages are there between the two heads other then that. I'm thinking of building up a 98-01 h22 head, I have because I am going to be running a more aggressive cam.
any feedback would be good

You can switch (with a shim) the older hydraulic LMAs to the newer ones, but how can you put the older ones in the new head. I don't think the pockets are deep enough for them.
