after i had the test pipe installed,i did feel a bit of difference. i was using the catco high flow one too.

Man, for being the most aggressive ones they offer, those Crower 3's sure do work nice in the bottom end. If you're upgrading the valvetrain, it almost seems silly to get the stage 2's.

THe modified non-VTEC lobes are seriously one of my favourite things about the crower 3's....there's a reason I make 150ftlbs of torque at 3000 rpms.

You also have to realize compression plays a big role there too, the non-VTEC cam doesn't have near the lift and duration of the VTEC cams, so something like 12:1 compression stays high basic there isn't much bleeding/dynamic compression loss.

But between 3500-5000 in the crower 3's it's a lot of fun, gets me in trouble becuase in 5th gear 4000-5000 is 90-100mph so I pretty much drive there all the time on the highway haha. Still get 27mpg!

Arent the vtec lobes the same on the 2s and 3s? I thought tthat they were and that they only had different idle lobes....

i think Stage 2 has the different lobes. one to stay stock idle.

i believe Stage 3 is different.

the idle is a little high around 900-1000.if im doin alot of driving,it will idle around 800 for a while,but mostly 1000.im going by the the stock tach so i dont know whats its like on an external one.
