Well it acts like it wants to start. And if timing belt broke wouldn't it turn over really fast when trying to start?

Could have, pull off the valve cover and line the crank up to tdc, see if the cams are still aligned correctly. I have had an engine set up with the manual tensioner somehow skip one cam 2-3 teeth off, and it wouldn't run to save it's life, but nothing was damaged.

you would need a DTC scanner.

Mine did the same on a highway-> appeared the rotor in the distributor fell apart. Could be the coil also.

Can you describe just exactly what you mean by "nailed third" ? Be as complete as possible on this.

it takes 4 things for an engine to run. Fuel, Timing, compression and fire.

you are missing one of those.

if you have spark and your injectors are firing (spraying fuel into the chamber) then you have bad cam timing or you have no compression..or both

You could have over-revved your engine. Do a compression test.

Gonna get timing checked again today. ...car fires but shuts back off. If I had no compression wouldnt it just keep turning and not fire? If it is compression how do I fix it? And I don't thinks I over revved I shifted round 6k car is too fast to b sitting gotta get it running again .

main fuel relay maybe? I know when mine was starting to go bad, it would start to run and then die again quickly. this would not give a CEL either i dont think.

Obviously I was just throwing out a guess. You could have just enough compression for it to almost catch but not actually run. Just get a $20 compression test kit, remove the ecu fuse from the engine fuse box and compression test it just to be sure.

Sure, you coulda just jumped a tooth or two too. You can verify that first before buying the compression kit.
