Default h22 compression question??

lookin at pickin up a civic coupe with a 94 jdm h22.
its got the lsd tranny
dc sports headers
full exhaust

aem cai
vafc
18" racing heart wheels (black)
vis cf hood
jdm blakc housing headlights
tanabe struts & coilovers
hasport mounts
hasport axles

thing wont run the kid said. i went down there and started it up. it would idle, but wouldnt go over 3k and if i reved it to 3k and go off it would stall out. did a compression test on it and it read 160 across the board. need help guys...should i pick her up and do like a leak down test and maybe rebuild it, or forget about the car. everything is only 2 months old. hes asking 3k but i might offer 2300-2500. thats all i have right now.

sounds like mostly an electric problem, but 160 is pretty low.....id say do a leakdown to be safe...

thanks guys. when he told me about it i thought maybe electrical too, but thenwith the compression being soo low now, idk maybe i thought the rings, but it was 160 across so unless they all went?? maybe a head gasket, or the valves, but i would think if it was a valve it would only be that cylinder???

he told me he was driving right about to engage into vtec and it bogged down and would go faster than 40mph. he drove it home and thast it.

see if the check engine light is on, and make sure its not just a blown out bulb, if the light is on, get us the trouble code, and ill figure out the problem, but it sounds very much like a map sensor right now.....
