Default greddy header to cat, conversion required?

If i were to buy a 4-2-1 greddy SS header, i heard you need a special catalytic converter to fit it, im going to buy a high flow cat off of EBay with the header, so im not sure, i cannot tell if they are both 3-bolt flanges, or 2 bolt. anyone with a similar setup please contribute.
thanks

if the cat you are buying is specifically for preludes it should have a 3 bolt flange. if it is a "honda high flow cat" it is most likely a 2 bolt floating flange like the b series use. if you post a link to the auction you would get a more accurate answer.

i wouldn't waste the money, it's most likely a test pipe, not a cat. you could have an exhaust shop make the same thing for less then 20.00 bucks. That will cost you almost 50.00 after shipping.

like i said, i wouldn't buy it. but it will bolt up.

well isnt the only real difference between a test pipe and cat is that the test pipe is straight through?
so if that cat is equivelant to a test pipe, it looks like a cat, so it would apss inspection, and its only gonna be like 35 with shipping i would think, 25 for the "cat" and probably like 10-15 for shipping.
thanks
*edit* i know the older cats used to have like honeycomb and sutff in them, or like ball bearings, but nowadays cats arent they pretty much straight through anyways?*edit*

it doesn't look like a cat, i sure as hell wouldn't pass it on a visual inspection. Most cats aren't polished.

also that auction states shipping charges are 22.00

You would save alot of money just having a test pipe made.

Alright, but as fas as i know theres a hefty fine for any shop installign a test pipe, and are quite illegal, not to say exhausts and a header arent, but ive heard they carry heavier fines
thanks
