my friend's got a prelude that purrs like a kitty, LITERALLY!!!!!! its a 2000 base model, and one day i was looking at his new headers and i hear a purring/moaning-type noise coming from the engine! he says he's heard it before, too, but didnt know what it is... cant really describe it, but it sounds kinda like a "auooooown" type of sound kinda like something is powering down or so... anyone else heard this?

 

Tugboats go "awoooga". That is very weird, especially since it's hard to describe sounds over the internet. May be exhaust gases exiting since they kind of pulse.
