maybe ur horn is fuckd up? have u tried putting in a fuse, and not using your horn. or does it blow the second you put the fuse in?
if the fuse is ok w/o horn use, ur horns are probably messed up, just get new ones and you should be set

Here's what you do.
Replace the ground wire.
Get the wiring diagram from online somewhere - cut the ground....and make a new one somewhere else. I think a loose or bad ground is the cause.

if your fuse blows instantly when you put a new one in you have a grounded power wire for that circuit in your brakes or the horn
if it blows when you use your horn you have a grounded wire in your horn circuit or a problem with your horn in general
if it blows when you hit the brakes it is in your brake wire circuit
hope this helps

Well - thats what I did when my taillights wouldn't work on my grand am - worked perfectly. No grounded wires at all..........
But - if you say it was a stupid suggestion, can't argue with that.

thx for all the info guys
i have it narrowed down a bit
i blew 3 fuses today doing it.
well the horn works fine but as soon as i touch the brakes, the fuse is gone. so i disconnected the driver side taillight and then it stopped blowing. on the driver side tail light, theres a yellow and white wire tapped into the harness or plug or whatever you call it which the passenger side doesnt have. I'm not sure what that is but thats pretty much the only difference I see between the tail lights.

what do u mean factory tap? as in how the wires are connected to the plug?
well i see 2 wires, yellow and white which looked like they were tapped into the plug which connect to the brake light and they look a little shady. but i think those are for the 3rd brake light.

Yeah, usually wiring problems are something really simple, i cant even count how many times ive pulled a screw, or a coin out of someone cigarette lighter when they kept blowing fuses. After they had checked over the entire car for a bare wire.
