full engine build for FI?
sorry if i posted this in the wrong place, but i just wanted to make sure that i am covering all needed parts to make this a complete build and if anyone has suggestions and tips. i plan on boring and honing the block along with port and polishing the head. I will be installing a FMAX T03/T04 ball bearing turbo kit on the rebuilt motor and will be running about 15 to 20lbs of boost at the track and 10lb on the street
pistons: JE forged Pistons and ring set (turbo applic)
rods: crower (stainless steel)
valves: crower(stainless or titanium?)
valve springs and retainers: crower
cams: crower (turbo applic)
sleeves: darton
head gasket?
bearings?
rod bolts: arp

1 - if you plan on running 15 - 20 lbs on the track and you are asking questions like this then you have no earthly clue what you are getting into.
2 - OEM Valves, head gasket and bearings.
3 - titanium springs and retainers.
4 - what CR pistons are you planning on running? just saying turbo app doesnt mean ****. i could have custom (turbo friendly composit) pistons made at 12:1 but that would be ******* insane.
EDIT: since you are in tucson, take your car over to Collective Racing. tell them that everyone at Honda-tech.com sent you over. ask for a guy that goes by the name of 2point6

Re: full engine build for FI? (Shakes)
why would you think that i don't know what i'm talking about. I told you what boost i would be running to see if anyone would say don't use billet steel but rather titanium to handle that boost. just looking for opinions and do appreciate yours, but why would i run 12:1 compression more like 9:1. I guess that's why u said ******* insane. hey thanks for looking out. I do want to know why everyone says oem. do they offer good deals, and are there products any good. thanks for the help guys. right now i'm deployed in kuwait but once i get back i'll look him up.

Both bearing companies are good.
TI retainers
9:1 pistons
stock cams
Get the block sleeved
Maybe 3 angle valve job and a port and polish on the head while you are at it.
A good set of Cam Gears .. Unorthodox racing for me, but every one has their preference. Id stay away from AEM.
Dont forget management.
Probably a Turbo XS dual boost controller as well.

When it comes to bearings and the hg, OEM has proven itself
time and time again even in high hp setups.
Remember, tuning is the most important key to a good setup
