B18B1 Turbo
I am in the process of building a boosted B18B1 and wanted to know what kind of boost I could put on the motor safely without sleeving.
The block is being honed and decked and i am having a block guard put in it. Im also having the crank micropolished and balanced.
Im keeping the stock compression and im installing weisco pistons and eagle rods with all new ACL bearings. New ARP head bolts
The head is being polished and im having a valve job done to it. Installing new supertech dual valve springs and retainers, supertech valves, valve seals, stage 2 or 3 turbo cams (not sure if i wanna go 2 or 3.)
Every gasket or seal on the motor is being replaced.
With all that said what is a safe boost?
Thanks for any answers.

I have a friend with the same setup and a gt30 on 17psi making 300+. It depends on what you plan on doin with it. A street car with too much over 300 is a hand full, but a drag car is a different story. Stock sleeves can go a long ways. Search in this forum...
amount of boost means nothing. think in amount of horsepower.
2 diffrent size compressors equals diffrent power amount
then there no set number for stock or oem bottom end power limits.
some poeple pop there motors on 250 whp dd's some have good luck with 500+ hp with a hundred + pulls.
as for keeping the stock compression it is safe even at higher compression as in 9.0 to 10.5:1 ish its all in the tune have yo ever looked in to E85?
talk to your local tuner and see what they reccommed.
grs, ctr,or itr cams are great and you might save some of your money.
oem bearings and gaskets are your best bet in my opinion make sure you have a set of arp head studs.
