Default Fixing the Camber Angle

I lowered my 97 lude 2 1\4 inches and now the camber angle is way off and my tires are getting to be expensive cause I go through so many. Does any body suggest a certain camber kit or other method of correction?

I heard through the grapevine that some tire places do something called 'alignments.'

Supposedly this is a great method of correction.

Man some people here sure can be smart a**s. Yea man you could go get an alignment or a company called INGALLS sells a very nice adjustable camber kit. I need one myself. I just lowered my car about 2in. Search ingalls and you will find some good info.

Good luck.

Some people here can deduct your points too for smart remarks and profanity.

actually the local alignment shops here (the low tech ones that don't use computers to align the wheels) have this jig that they bolt to the wheel hub and force-bend the lower control arm to correct camber on most hondas. My front camber is off by 3 degrees from a 1.5inch drop and the guy said it's $60 per wheel to do. I havn't done it yet, but i'm thinking about it. I'm sorta concerned that bending the LCA isn't safe.

If you don't mind, when you find out how much negative camber you are running now, could you tell me?

I'm looking at a 2-2.5" drop in the near future, and I want -2 degrees in the front and -1.5 to -2 degrees in the rear. I have the Ingalls camber kit already to try and get some negative camber on the stock suspension...but I was wanting to know where I'll stand after the drop.

Thanks.

It really depends to tell the truth. Some people with ~2" drop (absolute max you can go and only with pretty stiff springs) get around -2.25 degrees though myself with about a 1.7" drop only have -1 degree. Though at the same drop in the rear (maybe a little less) I have -1.5 degrees. I intend on getting a set of camber kits for the front to get it down to around -1.75 - -2 degrees in front and zero out the toe to keep wear in check.

Sorry for the profanity, (i forget where I am sometimes) and I wasn't trying to be a smart ***, I am fairly new to HT and have seen alot of people being rude to people for posting questions. I understand that people should search first and ask second but sometimes you don't find exactly the answer you are looking for.
