finally got the crower cams in
so i just finished up with the motor got the whole motor rebuild and the crower stage 2 all-motor cams in my 92 H23 prelude. there was a little bit of power loss in the lower to mid-range but it really made up for it on the top end it pulls real hard in the 4k-redline ( which is stock because it hasnt gone to the dyno yet. im goin when the motor is fully broken in.) but i got a big problem im leaking oil like a mother. i got some oil dye and i don't have a black light to see where it is comin from. it looks like its comin out of the back right side of the head gasket but the oil is clean so its hard to tell. Any Ideas?
It is proabably running real rich in the low end due to less vacuum, that is probably why it is "losing" power there. Get it tuned and it ought to be a lot better than stock.
What valvetrain did you go with?
How's the idle?

yeah i figured it was runnin a lil rich i got the crower springs and retainers along with it but stock rockers since aftermarket ones are impossible to find. The idle isnt as rough as i thought it would be but it is definatly noticable
Have you got any plans to tune it or get some numbers? What is the general setup? Never seen anyone with the Stage 2 cams around here.

Is the "right" side the timing belt side? If so, I'd check your cam seals, particularly on the intake. Good luck.

it hasnt gone to the dyno b4 the cams but it will go here in about a week or 2. the setup is crower springs retainers cams, port and polished head valve job, rebuilt the motor and put some AEM 5 stud cam gears. i already had the basics b4 i got the cams like header intake exhaust pulleys and msd igniton hopion for some good #'s like hopefully in the 180-200whp range.
the cams seals are new and i know i put them in right and is not leaking under the cams so i think it may be either the head gasket or the oil cooler O-ring
It doesnt matter if you think you put the cam seals in right or not. I had a shop swear they put them in right 2 times. Each time on first startup the oil pressure would blow the seals right out.
Pull the VC and double check. When it doubt pull the cams back off, re hondabond the seals, let them dry, then put the VC and everything back on. I know the timing belt is a bitch but it happens. Were both oil dowels on the bottom of the head when you reinstalled?
