what year are u guys preludes or what ecu are u running? and what do they top out at? 120? 130? 140? 140+?

 

97 Prelude, USDM ECU, hit 150 mph on I-20 late one night

 

150?.. man.. well i dunno y.. but i have a jdm p13, and im topping out at 120... what is up with that? is there a way to take off the speed governor? like desolder something on the ecu or what?

I thought JDM ecus were goved at 110?

 

I have been told by many that most JDM motors top out at 120, my friends JDM b16 motor does, and I have heard of SR20s that do, I was under the impression that governmental regulations in Japan limited everything to 120, aka 200kmph?

 

Fastest i've been is 125. I'm pretty sure i can hit 150+ Once i get my hondata tuned and 9psi pulley

i got a 93 si(stock....for now) h23a1 and i was just messing around and got it to 120 with ease. and i most definitely could of got it up much higher...

 

i was driving next to my friend and we were on the cell phone, he said we were going around 150 something... i wasn't paying attention

142 MPH with CAI only. Man that was fun until I got over some sharp rolls in the road. GF loved it she was like "it looks like we're flying "

 

i hit 135 w/ mine and could have gone faster w/ ease... and i'm bone stock..

Sounds like a good way to kill yourself, and the passangers that are with you. Use your head, You dont need to go that fast. Whats going to happen when your going 140 and your tire decides to blowout, or a deer runs out in front of your car. Your pretty much DEAD

you've got a VERY VERY good point on that one. the only reason i did it was b/c i had just got the car and i was extremely curious how fast it would go. i have never done it since, but i can't say i won't do it again.

i think we all realize the dangers, but i guess it was a good idea for someone to point them out

 

its a dirty job... but someone's gotta do it

exactly what I thought about after I took the love of my life for that wild ride. If you're going to do something that dangerous do it by yourslef and don't endanger others.

 

97 prelude SH with bull frog cams, dc header, gready exhaust, knoi shocks and eibach sport line springs. With three bros inside and the help of a long down hill before the flat straight, I hit 148 mph with three whitnesses. I will ever forget passing a geo metro at 140+ at 3 in the morning. They must have been surprised!

 

I was young and stupid.

 

i would use that excuse too, but i'm still young and stupid (according to my parents anyways, 19 years old, 11 points on my liscense and over $30k in debt)

Hell yeah Texas Rocks, damn I do the same thing on the acess road of I-20 in front of the dealership before matlock..Got my ride to 135-140 with my juice. Probally would have gone faster but need time to slow down.
