factory 5th gen cd player problem
can someone please answer my question real quick, i just got my 98 prelude Type SH back from the dealer cuz they fixed the tranny and the cd player dont work it says err -3 and it doesnt play or nothing please help
simple, reset the code, or better yet, from MY own experience, reset the ecu, then YOUR code will reset the radio and you are done.
Good luck.
Good luck.
1. reset your battery
2. Find the cd player code
3. Enter it
To fix your tranny they have to disconnect your battery, everytime your battery is disconnected your cd player will be reset.

I didn't buy my car from a Honda dealership I bought it from a Toyota dealership. A Honda dealership would probley charge me money to get the code.

nope, listen, you take the plastic trim piece around your a/c - radio unit (use a soft cloth and a flat head screw driver to pry that piece out, then you should see two screws holding the radio, take that out, obviously, then you should see the serial on the radio).
Once this is done, you need to go to a HOnda dealership and give them that serial number, plus your proof of ownership, if you don't drive there. DO NOT PAY for them giving you a stupid code, you must not pay, if they charge tell them to suck off...
Done.

also, when you open your glove compartment, do you see a little sticker with some numbers on it??? on the door itself???
if so, the top one with a 5 digit is your radio code.
Good luck
