f22a1
It depends on what size turbo you use, and a good tune. Don't listen to the "6-7 psi" crap, it varies on different turbo's. If you want something to spool really fast and be reliable/not hard on your motor, go with something very small (14b from a dsm, run the stock wg setting-anywhere from 7-I've heard up to 10lbs) and you should have fun with that.
I've had two preludes before this one and they both had H series and this one with the F in it is just confusing me haha. but appreciate it man, ill def look into that for sure
i think the F22A is sleeved stock and will hold boost pretty good. I had a boosted F22A in my accord.I agree with the guy who said use the DSM turbo A big 16G boost up really fast and make good power. You can get a 1st gen dsm manifold and redrill to fit the F22. If you have a good budget i would swap for the K series hasport has that kit soon. But for descent power for cheap turbo with clutch and flywheel upgrade and aftermarket ignition and good tune will be a great idea.

Eh depends on what you do as far as a turbo setup to make it cost that much, if you don't go instant baller status and just get cheap things to start out with you can get away with spending less than $1000 and still have a reliable fun *** car.

Just so say something, Bisimoto has a built f22a1 that runs a 9 second quarter, Of course its not in a lude anymore, but still. It shows u the potential of the f series.
For under a 1,000 id get the Stage 2 turbo cam first ( just dont install it ) Then get your turbo kit and install them, Check with the seller of the cam to make sure you dont need to replace valve spring or retainers, Most of them can give you re-grinds that just pop in with no extra work.
