external battery kill switch question...
im in the process of relocating my battery to the trunk right now, and i must mount a kill switch on the back of the car to keep it NHRA legal. the switch i am using is a moroso that has 4 towers (2 1/2" terminals and 2 1/8" i think) i need to run one of the cables to the starter and the other to the alternator output. i looked in my helms and i couldnt find this alternator output. i was told by another ex-luder to run one of them to the left terminal on the fuse box under the hood and then run the starter cable to the same terminal. id like to wire it up properly so that the kill switch works obviously. im doing the relocation to make room for my msd 6al and blaster 2 coil. and im using the summit battery kit. thanks guys!
the altornator output is the big post on your altornator, its not that hard to find. also you need to run one to you startor, and to the under hood fuse box.
so i need to run one cable to the starter, one to the fuse box (which terminal?) and one to the alternator output (what do i do with the cable that is on there? remove it or run both together. I have a 4th gen helms so you can refer to that if it helps.
oh and btw when i bought the switch the guy was saying something like it removes the charging system, but i cant remember (damn ADD) but maybe someone knows what im talking about... thankx!
