Erick's Racing Throttle Body???
do you guys think it would be a good decision to get that throttle body from erick's racing??? whats the size on that thing...and I think it comes in different anodized colors ...not sure though....do you think it would make in an improvement besides throttle response and would it only be good if you have your intake manifold port matched to it??

It is a 70mm TB and it is awesome. You will have to take your stock TPS off and put it on the TB, but no big deal. Like Laughin said, I wouldn't get one unless I got the stock IM ported, or got the Golden Eagle Intake Manifold. I have some pics if you want to see what it looks like with the GE IM

Eh screw it. I'll probably end up going custom then. I'm not going through the hell of modifying the Euro R IM.

The GE IM is for Turbo only, but if you were looking to do an awesome N/A build. I would go ITB all the way! Thanks for posting the pic for me boosted! You guys know I can still get awesome prices at GE for Parts and resleeves. I also have a line on ITB's if that is route you would like to go.

I ordered it directly from Erick's Racing. I am positive it does not come with the TPS. If you read the website is says it uses stock sensors and throttle cable.

Ok, so is there any aftermarket throttle body that we can use for a 5th gen and not require the IM to be port matched??? or is this not possible and I should just forget about it???

No one's saying the TB's won't bolt-up fine...just that benefits won't be had w/o the other things being done (e.g. match-ported IM, etc.). Plus, larger TB's mostly help w/ a few extra ponies up top...not really something I'd consider for a beginning mod. Get other things done first.
gtr*lude: I'm curious about the ITB hookups you have. I've only known of TWMs available for H22's. I don't have money now, but would love the info for the future. Thanks.

Re: Erick's Racing Throttle Body??? (bhcvc)
I know theres no question that it will bolt right up but would i lose hp if i dont get the IM port matched.and yes I know they give a few up top..hey you take some and you lose some..and no this is not a beggining mod...i have cai, mugen headers, hi-flow cat, greddy evo, pullies on the way and still waiting for my vafc to get installed..
What i really really want to know is what are the advantages/disadvantages or gains or drawbacks of getting a bigger tb and not port matching the tb and port and polishing the head...i was thinking of getting a tb but I dont have the money right now to get the head PandP and IM port matched

Re: Erick's Racing Throttle Body??? (MugenPoweredLude)
so who makes a good aftermarket IM suitable for NA or is the best/cheapest way just porting the stocker? i understand those box manifolds don't control the flow well enough to keep the flow to each cylinder even without FI. i saw an edelbrock cast manifold on a b18C1 in a local shop. how is theirs if they even offer one for the H?

Re: Erick's Racing Throttle Body??? (YodiBrodi)
Golden Eagle is in the process of producing a N/A IM. But it is still in R&D. Toda also makes ITB's for the Lude, but the price hook I have currently is on the TWM's.

as for your line on ITBs, what all can you get them for? i have a del Sol i am considering puttin either an H22, a B20, or B20/VTEC in, and it would remain N/A

IMHO, a larger throttle body is a waste of money unless you are increasing the compression or running FI. Why spend hundreds of dollars for only a few ponies up top???
