Engine Vibration
Since I replaced my downpipe (Honda did) I've noticed I have a lot more engine vibration. I can really see my engine vibrate when I punch the throttle at idle, plus also while not moving, if I hold the throttle open at say 30-40% with my bare foot on the pedal I can FEEL a lot of vibration coming through the pedal.
So what do we think this is? I haven't got under there, but I'm wondering what they screwed up. My only thoughts are that they didn't put it on tight enough and I have a small leak, but they used new gaskets...maybe they missed a hanger?? Somebody else suggested a bad engine mount, but it's only been happening since the downpipe (secondary to the cat) was replaced. Hmm....

yea sounds like a engine mount to me. they might have messed up the front engine mount thats near the downpipe. i dont know how they would manage to do that though.
Could you be more specific? Where? I would love to have them replace my engine mounts for free!!
I'm thinking they might have done it trying to take the old downpipe off? I think it was on there pretty good...

I took it to the service manager...who races a B16 Hatch, S2k and stuff..a guy I trust, and he said it felt fine...I guess having the small exhaust leak all that time I didn't get to fell the engine torquing at low rpms...oh well sounds good, runs good I shouldn't complain.
