I checked the spark plugs yesterday and they were all burnt looking. I put in some new ngks and now it wont even start. its sounds like its trying to turn over, just not fireing. Still need input, anything (positive) would help.

ok I tried jump starting it and nothing happened. Its trying so hard to ignite, pissing me off. It kinda back fires too, when i turn it over. Where is the fuel pump and fuel filter located? does this sound internal? Or more like a electiral or fuel problem. If its internal, i beter just buy a new engine. If its not, it could be a good time for upgrades.

not turning over, I would check your distributor first. Then work your way from there..

tommorow i will check the fuel filter....wouldent i have to take my distributor somwhere to get it check out. If its electrical or fuel i can figure that out. I will just buy a new ignition and fuel system. The best time to upgrade is when oem **** fails.

Since it was running before you changed plugs, I would say you broke a wire or two inside the insulator. If your plugs needed changing, so do the wires, cap and rotor. Have you checked to see if you are getting spark? Go to autozone and get a noid light for a GM. It will fit all fuel injector pgtails. Plug it into one and crank it over. If it flashes that tells you that you are getting signal from the ECU for fuel and ignition which would narrow your problem to the items listed above or an igniter or ICM or fuel system. I would verify fire before fuel.

lol don't buy a new engine, it doesn't sound like a serious problem. And even if it is, buy the part, get it replaced.

When you turn it over, does it fire? Check the order of the wires if it sounds like it's gonna catch but it doesn't. I've had this happen with my civic winter beater, I had the wire order in backwards lol.

Also, double check your distributor internals. If the rotor is too badly gone you won't get consistant fire to run the engine. Check for a pop pop pop noise when you turn it over, that's the sound of only a few cylinders catching. Also, check to see if oil is on top of your spark plugs. I've had a CRX die at the track goes a grommet burst and let in so much oil only 2 of the 4 cyl. would fire.
