H22. Hands down.
Not sure if you'll have problems because of the OBD-II on the '96 though. I believe you'd have to find either a '96 H22A1 or an H22A4 from the 5th gen prelude.

I went with the Jdm H22a best best, If you go Jdm full swap spend the extra for the LSD(put that H-series torque to the ground).If you can find one locally that would be good but http://www.hmotorsonline.com/s...it=15has some good stuff but sometimes are sold out despite what the website says.
