Engine Lag!!!
Ive got a 1994 prelude h22a1 and right around 3000 to 4000 RPM's the engine starts to lag pretty bad and then after a second will catch back up. I have changed the fuel filter and put fuel system cleaner through it and no luck. Does anybody have any ideas?

clean with some kind of combi cleaner, before doing so take a visual inspection of valve and make sure pintle is seating flush or see if it isn't, if it isn't, there ya go, if it is clean and install and back to drawing board

I have a egr block off plate that I am not using if you need one, pm me for inquire. I had this same exact problem and it went away when I switched out my ECU from a p13 to a p72, I got the p72 already tuned with Crome from a honda-tech member and it fixed the problem all together. I have to switch the ECU's out to pass emission here in AZ and whenever I switch them my car goes back to running just like you are explaining. Try egr block off, or cleaning, also you can try seafoam (depending on your mileage use at ur own risk) but the ecu thing is what saved me.
